Weekly Updates
This week in robotics, we introduced our new team members to the importance of shop safety. Before working on the robot or using tools, everyone learned key safety protocols, including wearing proper protective gear, using tools correctly, keeping the workspace clean, and communicating clearly. The newcomers were engaged and asked great questions, showing they're ready to work safely and responsibly as we kick off the season.
HERtech
This week in HerTech Robotics, we focused on crimping and electrical components. Our members learned how to properly strip wires, use crimping tools to attach connectors, and assemble basic circuits used in our robots. We also went over the importance of clean wiring, secure connections, and labeling for troubleshooting and safety. Everyone had the chance to get hands-on practice and build confidence with the electrical side of robotics, which is a crucial skill for the season ahead.
