Getting ready for the Mountain View Carnival was a big effort for our team, but it brought us together in a really meaningful way. We spent days making sure our robots were fully functional and also testing every movement so everything would run smoothly. We thought carefully about how to present robotics in a way that would be fun and engaging for kids by having simple demonstrations and interactions that would let them get involved rather than just watch. It was also a great experience for the team with  organizing roles, coordinating who would speak, and making sure we were ready to represent not just our robots, but our passion for robotics.

Mountain View Carnival

We took our robotics team out of the workshop and into the community by bringing our robots to the Mountain View Carnival, and it ended up being one of the most rewarding experiences we’ve had. Kids were immediately drawn in by the movement and energy of the robots, and once they got the chance to interact with the robot and sparking their curiosity. We focused on making robotics feel approachable and fun rather than complicated, showing that it’s something anyone can learn and enjoy. For us, it was a great reminder that robotics isn’t just about competitions or technical challenges, but about creativity, collaboration, and sharing that passion with others, and by the end of the day, it felt like we had helped spark genuine interest and inspiration in the next generation.
